A 29-year-old mother is facing charges after deputies said she left her two children inside a vehicle while she went to work at a bar.
The Pasco Sheriff's Office arrested Tara Greenfield for child neglect after two children in her care were discovered inside her vehicle while she worked at the Brass Tap in Trinity.
On Wednesday, at approximately 5:51 p.m., deputies said Greenfield clocked in for her job at the Brass Tap, leaving a 1-year-old and 7-year-old child inside her vehicle. The car was running at the time, deputies said.
Deputies said the children were left unattended for approximately two hours while Greenfield was inside the bar.
Deputies responded to the scene after receiving an anonymous call alerting the sheriff's office to the children inside the vehicle.
Deputies said oxycodone pills were found inside the vehicle near where the 1 year old was sitting and a glass pipe with residue testing positive for cocaine was found inside the suspect's purse.
Greenfield was transported to the Land O' Lakes Detention Center without incident and is charged with child neglect and possession of drug paraphernalia.
