Firefighters were called to the Seabreeze boat ramp in Volusia County on Wednesday afternoon after a boat caught fire.
The Daytona Beach Fire Department responded around 1:55 p.m. to the ramp located on the east side of the Seabreeze Bridge.
A 20 foot Sun Bird caught fire shortly after two adults started the engine. The passengers, a male and a female, jumped off the boat when the fire broke out and weren't injured. Residents in nearby apartments called 911 when they saw the boat engulfed in flames.
The cause remains unknown.
