An attorney in Tampa is accused of exposing himself and soliciting sexual favors from a Pinellas County Jail female inmate.

Andrew Spark, 54, is charged with soliciting for prostitution, exposure of sexual organs and possession of contraband in a county detention facility.

Spark was booked Sunday by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office and has since been released.

Sheriff Bob Gualtieri said Monday the investigation began in November, when detectives received information that Spark was soliciting sex and receiving sexual acts from female inmates at the jail.

The tip stated that Spark would film the sexual acts on his personal tablet in exchange for money that he would put in the inmate's commissary account.

Detectives said they determined Spark met the inmate three years ago through a website. Spark was not representing the inmate.

"This time we wired the room with audio and video and caught Spark in the attorney visitation room with (the inmate) as they were about to begin the sex act, and he was fully exposed when detectives entered the room." - Sheriff Bob Gualtieri

Authorities said Spark met privately with the inmate and had sex with her at least six times.

"Spark would set the porn scene by filming the female inmate in her jail uniform and filming her inmate I.D. card," Gualtieri said. "He would then film the jail surroundings while having (the inmate) narrate her sexual fantasies in the jail before having her perform the sex acts."

On Sunday, detectives received information that Spark would be at the jail to meet with the inmate. He was arrested the same day.

"This time we wired the room with audio and video and caught Spark in the attorney visitation room with (the inmate) as they were about to begin the sex act, and he was fully exposed when detectives entered the room," the sheriff said.

The investigation is still underway, Gualtieri said. Spark may face more charges.

"Information indicates that Spark has done this with female inmates at the Pinellas County Jail before and has also done the same at other jails throughout the Tampa Bay area and in Central Florida," Gualtieri said.
