Richard Alton Morgan, 59, of Lake Jackson Drive, is charged with 20 counts of possession of child pornography, 287 counts of production of child pornography, 34 counts of lewd or lascivious molestation and three counts of sexual battery. He is being held without bond.
Detectives served a search warrant at the man's home early Monday. Twenty images of child pornography were found and collected, according to an arrest affidavit.
An updated arrest affidavit with new charges states there are seven videos of Morgan molesting an infant. In an interview at the jail on Monday, "he admitted to sexually abusing this child in his residence," the affidavit states.
Morgan admitted to having downloaded child pornography for years, deputies said.
Joan Allman lives next door to Morgan and said he kept to himself.
"I'm so disappointed in him, disappointed and shocked. I couldn't sleep last night I was so upset. I couldn't believe... he has been in my house. I have taken him to doctor's appointments," Allman said.
"He told me that he had met with a woman on the internet and when he brought her here with the three children, I met her and the children. He has a boat. He would go out on a boat and take the kids.
"He told me that he should be a father because he enjoys the children. He likes the children so much," Allman said.
As detectives continued to review the evidence during the search, images were found of a young girl who was being molested by Morgan, they said. Detectives said the child, whom Morgan admitted to molesting, is now in California.
California authorities late Monday night found the child and arrested her mother on molestation charges, deputies said. It’s thought that the girl's mother and Morgan met online.
Morgan is a stage tech with Disney, according to an arrest report.
"He has been placed on unpaid leave pending the outcome of the charges," a Disney spokesperson said in a statement.
The investigation is ongoing. Detectives have at least two more victims they are working to identify who possibly range in age from 10 months old to 15 months old (at the time the images were made). Detectives said there could be more victims and want to hear from any parents of children who have spent time with Morgan.
