Teachers have been pushing for a pay raise they say was promised months ago. School district officials have countered by saying there wasn't room in the budget.
The impasse had led to teacher protests over the past several months at the district office and multiple schools.
However, the district has made a proposal that will benefit some teachers: to raise the salaries of about 3,600 teachers that were initially promised the pay increase.
With a total of about 15,000 teachers total, it could cost about $30 million to give out all the pay increases for the 2018-19 school year.
The teacher's union is weighin the offer and more meetings are set for Wednesday afternoon.
