- Bay area man's small act of kindness goes viral
- Man gave tablet to upset girl on flight
- Girl's uncle posted photos of the act
For the last fifteen years, Tim Lindblom has owned his own software company. He knows a lot about computers, but definitely never thought he’d go viral.
"My daughter got me on twitter and started to show me all the comments and things that folks were saying and it just kind of warmed my heart," Lindblom said.
You may have seen Lindblom popping up the last few days in your Twitter feeds. He was photographed doing something special for a little girl sitting behind him on his flight from Dallas to Tampa.
"I had been on the road for about 40 days and I found myself dozing off on my flight back to Tampa and this beautiful young child behind me was getting a little impatient," Lindblom said.
Having traveled before with four daughters of his own, Lindblom immediately offered the little girl his tablet to draw on. The act of kindness was caught on camera by the girl’s uncle who snapped the photos that have been liked and shared hundreds of thousands of times.
"I think that's why it did take off so much because there's a lot of negative things happening in the world and this was something I think people needed to see, so I'm glad," Wesley Thomas said.
The family was in town on vacation and said they’ll never forget the passenger who helped make the girl’s first flight, an easier one. Lindblom said he was just happy to spread a little joy.
"We're all sort of conditioned now to expect the worst from people because we're on edge, we don't really reach out to one another and embrace one another as we should, so spreading a little love and compassion goes a long way," Lindblom said.
