TAMPA, Fla. — Tis' the season for giving — and Wild 94.1's Orlando Davis is asking for your help to give some Bay area kids a Merry Christmas.
Orlando's 7th annual Holiday Toy Drive has been going on this week. And it's not your typically toy drive.
Orlando has been camping out on top of the Toy Drive Tower for eight days. The Toy Drive Tower is in the Metro by the T-Mobile parking lot on the corner of Dale Mabry Highway and Columbus Drive.
He has been broadcasting live every day through his eight day extravaganza.
The group is collecting toys and donations to benefit the Children's Home Network, a non-profit organization serving as a sanctuary to abused, neglected, or abandoned kids in the community.
Last year they were able to collect over 600 bikes, 2 full PODS containers of toys, and over $25,000 in cash and gift card donations.
Orlando will descend from the tower at 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 15.
If you would like to help, you can drop off donations at the Toy Drive Tower or donate online.
