ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The man struck and killed by a vehicle in St. Petersburg in November has been identified.

  • Police identified victim as Richard Rofenhoch, 73
  • Crash happened evening of Nov. 14 at Madison Circle N and 4th Street

According to police, Richard Rofenhoch, 73, was the person struck on Wednesday, November 14 at the intersection of Madison Circle North and 4th Street North.

Police said he was trying to cross the road when he was hit by a car. He fell into the roadway and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver did stop. 

However, police had no identification on the man until this week. 

On December 15, an out-of-state relative called to report him missing after not hearing from Rofenhoch for several weeks, police said.  

Rofenhoch was originally from the New York area, but relocated to Florida roughly 10 years ago.
