DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — The most exciting time of year for the Daytona Beach area and racing fans is just around the corner.

Daytona Speedweeks, which officially kicks off the NASCAR racing season, is happening from February 9 to February 17 and ends with a big bang — the Daytona 500.

Here’s all you need to know to make the most of your experience at this year’s Daytona Speedweeks:

Big Events

  • Lucas Oil 200 Driven by General Tire – Saturday, February 9: The ARCA Racing series opener for Speedweeks, featuring veteran drivers and up-and-coming drivers.
  • DAYTONA 500 Qualifying – Sunday, February 10: This qualifying race will determine who gets to be in the front row at the Daytona 500.
  • The Duel At DAYTONA 150 – Thursday, February 14: This 150-mile qualifying race will determine starting positions for the Daytona 500. Championship points will be awarded to top 10 finishers.
  • The NextEra Energy Resources 250 – Friday, February 15: This 100-lap truck race is the season opener for the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series.
  • The DAYTONA 300 – Saturday, February 16: This race is the season-opening event for the NASCAR Xfinity Series where you’ll see future racing starts and veterans alike.
  • The DAYTONA 500 – Sunday, February 17: NASCAR’s biggest event of the year, also called the “Great American Race” features a 2.5-mile trioval and 31-degree banking to help determine the champion of this prestigious race.

How to Buy Tickets

Interested attendees can buy tickets online on Daytona International Speedway’s website or by calling call 1-800-PITSHOP.

Bundles packages are being offered, in which you can buy 2-day (attend the Daytona 300 and 500) or 4-day packs (attend the Duel at Daytona, NextEra Energy 250, the Daytona 300, and Daytona 500) for Speedweeks. 

There will also be a will call at Daytona International Speedway’s main ticket office inside the ‘Ticket and Tours’ Building on 1801 West International Speedway Boulevard. Just make sure to bring a valid ID. 

Places to Stay

CAMPING AT THE SPEEDWAY:

Attendees have the option to camp out along the Speedway's 180-acre infield, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie among attendees.

You can camp out in your motorcoaches and tents during your stay at Speedweeks.

Parking and Traffic

Free parking is available at the Speedway's Lot 3. There will be free park-and-ride services offered to take attendees to the Speedway, as well as to take them back to the lot at the end of the day. 

Paid trackside parking at Lot 4, front-stretch parking, and infield parking are now sold out, according to Daytona International Speedway. 

ADA parking is also available at lots 1, 4, and 6.
