Dozens of new stores and restaurants are being built in Trinity at what will be called the "Village at Mitchell Ranch," located on Little Road and State Road 54.
The project will bring many stores, like Sprouts, to Pasco County for the first time.
Sprouts, Michaels, and HomeGoods will be the anchor stores, according to the Shopping Center Group’s website.
Other stores and restaurants already signed up include Blaze Pizza, Chipotle, First Watch, Five Below, Hair Cuttery, Jersey Mike’s, Menchies, Panda Express, PDQ, Skechers and ULTA.
County leaders say having name brand stores coming into the area means good things for Pasco’s economy long-term.
“Some name brands are very picky where they build,” said Bill Cronin, director of economic development. ”To have a store like Sprouts coming in, Michaels and some of those that are in quality developments in other parts of the state is a really good sign for us.”
The shopping center is right near an already busy commercial area that includes Target, Walmart, Publix and several other stores.
The new businesses will cover 22 acres.
They are the first part of a project that will eventually include housing and office space.
The first stores are expected to be opened up by this summer.
