ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Skies will be mostly cloudy into early Tuesday and there will even be a few sprinkles or light showers drifting in from the Gulf of Mexico.

Morning lows will be cooler in the 50s.

Tuesday will start cloudy with some passing showers during the first half of the day.

It will be a cooler day, with highs only in the 60s. A breezy wind from the north will also add to the cool feel.

Clouds will start breaking up in the afternoon with any lingering showers exiting.

Tuesday night will clear out, with much colder air moving in. Expect lows all the way down into the 30s and 40s for Wednesday morning.

Some spots in Citrus to Hernando counties will get close to freezing.

Wednesday will be a cool day, even with sunny skies, highs will barely reach the upper 50s to low 60s.

Wednesday night will be another cold one, with lows in the 30s and 40s. Lows will be near-freezing in parts of Citrus and Hernando counties.

Thursday will be mostly sunny with a more pleasant afternoon with highs around 70.

Friday will feature warmer conditions, with highs back into the mid to upper 70s under sunny to partly cloudy skies.
