CLEARWATER, Fla. — Construction has begun on the Seminole Street Boat Ramp in Clearwater.
Boaters should expect delays and limited parking availability until construction wraps up in the fall.
That's not all they can expect, however. Some of the planned improvements once the boat ramp is finished include:
- Two new parking areas
- Upgrades to existing parking lot including storm water improvements
- New green space
- New restrooms
- Waterfront promenade
- Floating dock
- Observation platform
- New kayak launch area
- Enhanced public walkways
- Additional public benches
- Improved park area at end of Seminole street
- New Pinellas Trail extension through marina to waterfront park
- New landscaping
- New lighting
