TAMPA, Fla. — A driver who spilled coffee crashed into five vehicles on Interstate 75 Tuesday morning, causing major traffic delays and leaving two people injured.

The crash happened on I-75 between Fowler Avenue and Interstate 4 at about 10:30 a.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Chevrolet Express van crashed into five vehicles when the driver failed to notice stopped traffic ahead.
The driver of the Chevy, Robert Fread Jr., told troopers he had spilled coffee inside his vehicle. When he looked up, traffic was stopped.
The Chevy ended up striking five vehicles as it traveled into the center and outside lanes.
Troopers said one of the drivers incurred minor injuries, and another driver was taken to Tampa General hospital with serious injuries.
The 41-year-old driver of the Chevy was charged with careless driving.
