ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A few isolated storms popped up as expected along the sea breeze collision. There was just enough moisture to support it. Skies will clear overnight going into Wednesday morning.

Lows will be in the upper 60s to low 70s, but some mid 60s for northern counties.

Wednesday will feature mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with only a 10 percent chance of a late day shower. The atmosphere will feature drier air, which is what will limit any shower activity.

Winds will start out breezy in the morning, followed by near calm winds in the afternoon. High temperatures will again feel kind of hot, reaching about 90 degrees in the afternoon.

Skies will go back to mostly clear Wednesday night with lows in the upper 60s to low 70s.

Thursday will feature slightly more moisture in the atmosphere, so expect a slight uptick in rain chances to about 20 percent coverage in the late afternoon. Highs will again be close to 90.

Friday will be back down to a 10 percent chance of a late day shower as yet another slug of drier air moves back overhead. Highs will still be near 90.

This weekend will feature slowly increasing moisture content in our atmosphere, which will result in increasing scattered thunderstorm chances.

For Saturday it will be at a 20 percent chance but it will tick up to a 30 percent chance Sunday.

Highs will pull back just a bit on Sunday, mainly in the upper 80s.
