TAMPA, Fla. — Testimony resumed Friday in the double murder trial of former FSU student Nicole Nachtman.

Nachtman, 25, is accused of shooting and killing her mom and stepdad, Myriam and Robert Dienes, at their Carrollwood home four years ago. She is facing two counts of first-degree murder.

Nachtman allegedly traveled from FSU to their Carrollwood home in August 2015. She allegedly shot and killed her stepfather, and hid his body in the house. According to the prosecution, Nachtman then waited for her mom to return from a work trip to murder her.

The Friday morning session was highlighted by the testimony of Natchman's cousin David Lehr.

Lehr, who said he used to live in the same Carrollwood community, said he spent considerable amounts of time with the Dienes. Lehr also was asked about Nicole, and his discussions with law enforcement after the murders.

A bit later during the morning session, a defense attorney told Hillsborough Circuit Judge Christopher Sabella that FSU students in the courthouse hallway were heard discussing the depositions and have been watching the case on the livestream.

The defense attorney was angry, saying that was a rule violation.

More testimony is expected throughout the day Friday.

The trial is expected to last two weeks.  Nachtman faces life in prison if convicted.
