ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — After a long stretch of wet weather with an onshore wind, we have switched back to a normal summer pattern.

Skies will be partly cloudy with a few scattered storms overnight. Conditions will be quiet for early Tuesday morning.
Lows will be in the low to mid 70s inland and upper 70s near the coast.
We’re back to our more traditional summer pattern, which means the mornings tend to be quiet but the afternoons to evenings can be active with scattered thunderstorms.

With that in mind, expect a quiet Tuesday morning with partly sunny skies. Temperatures will heat up to the low 90s and then scattered storms will form. They’ll drift westward with most of them moving toward the Gulf of Mexico by the evening.
The coverage will end up being about 50 percent.
The storms will die down Tuesday night with clearing skies.
Wednesday will feature more sunshine in the morning followed by a 40 percent coverage of scattered storms. Highs will be in the low 90s.
Thursday will be a little drier with the storm coverage dropping to 30 percent.
