NEW YORK - Police arrested several people Wednesday after conducting raids against the Trinitarios street gang in the Bronx and northern Manhattan.

The Trinitarios are described as a vicious gang made up of many Dominican members.

They were involved in the killing of 15-year-old Lesandro "Junior" Guzman-Feliz last summer.

Five Trinitarios members were convicted in Junior's death, which was determined to be a case of mistaken identity.

There are reports that the latest arrests are part of a state case.

Those arrested were initially expected to appear in Manhattan court Wednesday, but they are now expected to appear in court Thursday.
