WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — Winter Haven police have made an arrest in the murders of two women found shot to death in a home earlier this month.

Antonio Jamar Davis, 35, has been charged with two counts first-degree murder in the deaths of 23 year-old Chanel Zhane Brown and 42 year-old Latoya Dimitria Owens.
The women were found dead inside of Owen's home in the 100 block of Ave V, NW in Winter Haven on October 6.
After an investigation and multiple interviews with several people, Davis was charged.
DNA evidence connected Davis to the scene.
Winter Haven detectives then charged Davis, who was in the Polk County Jail on unrelated charges. In addition to the murder charges, Davis is facing charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and tampering with evidence.
Davis is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday afternoon.
