TAMPA, Fla. — The Cross Bay Ferry relaunched service Wednesday.

The ferry launched its third season with a trip from the vessel’s new docking location at the Tampa Convention Center to take passengers to St. Petersburg.
In St. Pete, passengers will board at Straub Park, next to the Vinoy.
Back for its 3rd year, the ferry will run from Wednesday to Sunday. The service will feature two round trips on Wednesdays and Thursdays and four on Friday/Saturday and three on Sundays.
Tickets are $8 each way for adults, with discounts for passengers 65 and older, active or retired members of the military and college students.
Also, in a promotion with the Tampa Bay Lightning, the 149-passenger ferry will run each day there is a Lightning home game, shuttling fans to and from downtown Tampa before and after games.
HMS Ferries, which operates the venture, partnered with the Florida Department of Transportation. St. Pete, Tampa, Hillsborough and Pinellas counties. All are contributing $150,000 each to cover operating costs.
