ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Skies will go from partly cloudy to mostly cloudy into early Saturday morning with a muggy southerly breeze.

Morning temperatures will be in the upper 60s to low 70s.  There will also be some areas of sea fog drifting in from the Gulf.

A line of rain showers will move in from the Gulf Saturday morning with coastal areas getting the rain first. The line will proceed southeastward, exiting Polk and Manatee County in the mid afternoon.

Drier, cooler air will come rushing in with temperatures dropping into the 60s during the afternoon.

Skies will clear into Sunday morning with chilly air arriving as lows dip into the 40s.  Even with sunny skies for Sunday we will only have highs near 60 degrees with most of the area in the 50s the majority of the day.

The pattern into next week is a cooler one with another cold front on the way mid-week.
