President Donald Trump will address the Class of 2020 at the U.S. Military Academy's graduation ceremony in June.
The USMA said Wednesday that the president will serve as its commencement speaker for the first time when the ceremony is held at West Point on June 13.
"The Class of 2020 will return to campus in time for the June 13 graduation ceremony, which will look different from recent graduation ceremonies due to current force health protection requirements," read a press release from the academy. "The size and scope of the graduation ceremony will be determined by safety considerations for cadets and the entire West Point community, and the academy leadership is conducting a thorough analysis and plan for the safe return of the Corps of Cadets."
The academy shifted to online classes in mid-March, and will stay that way through the end of the current academic year. All athletic events were also canceled for the remainder of the school year.
