During a conversation with the Democratic nominee for the 21st Congressional District seat, Tedra Cobb, Capital Tonight host Susan Arbetter asked the insurgent about the USMC trade deal between the U.S., Canada and Mexico. They also discussed the impetus to impeach Attorney General Bill Barr and the possible move by Democrats to end the legislative filibuster.

Cobb is running for a second time against Republican incumbent Elise Stefanik in the sprawling district which represents the North Country, as well as parts of Saratoga and Herkimer counties. It’s a tough race for her, because Stefanik is a Trump loyalist which has given her a very high profile, like garnering her a key speaking spot during the GOP convention.

Donor money has also been pouring in. In June, Stefanik had $4.4 million in cash on hand. Cobb had $2.7 million. Two years ago when Cobb first ran against Stefanik in the general election, she received 42 percent of the vote compared to the Republican’s 56 percent.
