An interactive mural in downtown St. Petersburg is urging people to get out and vote next month.

The mural, which was commissioned by the League of Women’s Voters in St. Petersburg, aims to target groups who experience voter suppression by showing diversity.

Through the app Pixelstix, people can scan the ‘voted’ stickers in the mural to learn how to apply for a mail in-ballot, or get info about voting in the LGBTQ community, among other useful tips.

And even though the mural showcases diversity, it encourages inclusivity.

“I included different colors, different ages, a fabulous drag queen," said artist John Gascot. "And you know when people would come by and say, ‘Where am i?’ We would just say, ‘You go right there, you go into the selfie spot and you’re a part of the mural.”
