TAMPA, Fla. — Despite financial hardships from the pandemic, the spirit of giving back this holiday season is in full swing.

Ice Cold Air locations across the region are wrapping up their annual Toys for Tots toy drive.

Since kids have been stuck inside a lot, this year the big push is for toys that can be used outside, like bikes and balls.

The south Tampa location has been doing this drive for the past 14 years and have collected thousands of toys.

“Sales are down but we haven’t had to let anyone go, no-one has contracted COVID and we have gotten some funds from some of the programs out there so that we’re able to do more things like digital vehicle inspections and other stuff to be able to protect our staff and customers in this different time,” said Adrien Julious-Butler with Ice Cold Air.

If you donate a toy valued at $20 or more, you get a voucher for a free oil change and tire rotation that you can use anytime.

The drive ends Sunday and they’re hoping to pack up the toys on Monday.
