The NFL announced 11-year-old Amaya Brannon as this year’s NFL Play 60 Super Kid recipient, earning her a front row seat to the super bowl experience.

“I was so excited when they said I won,” said Amaya on Monday over a Facetime call with Spectrum News. “The best part of the day was seeing my home team win!”

Brannon attends Combee Elementary School in Lakeland and was among hundreds of kids competing for the NFL Play 60 slot. Each kid set daily health goals and strived to keep them in exchange for an award.

But it was Amaya that took home the memorable prize.

“I also got to interview players,” she explained.

Amaya was able to interview a number of players leading up to the game as part of her award for achieving her health goals.

“I loved watching my team play; I guess the Kansas City chiefs did not have it last night,” laughed Amaya.
