Legal proceedings revealed issues with seven of the eight Boards of Elections in the district. Those include registrations that weren't processed in time and voters being turned away from polling places.

After reviewing many challenged ballots and considering arguments, the Oswego County Supreme Court justice ordered the BOE's to certify their results.

Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente has asked Governor Cuomo to remove the current Board of Elections commissioners, calling the election an "abject failure."
