A Department of Children and Families worker and her husband are accused of sexually abusing a teen.​

Pasco County deputies said the woman enticed her husband to have sex with the victim over several years.

Thomas Adams, 33, and 34-year-old Sarah Frances Adams are facing sexual battery custodial authority charges on a victim under 17-years-old. They are being held at the Land O' Lakes Jail.

Adams works as an administrative assistant for DCF.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, the suspects are accused of having sexual relations with a 13-year-old who is known to them.

We're not identifying their relationship as to protect the victim's identity. 

Thomas Adams was arrested in January.

According to an arrest report, deputies discovered Sarah Adams’s’ involvement during a controlled phone call with Thomas.

Deputies say Thomas abused the victim for nearly two years.

Sarah was arrested on Tuesday. Because of her job at DCF, it’s mandatory that she report child abuse.

She is facing an additional charge of failure to report suspected child abuse.

Deputies requested a high bond for Sarah Adams due to the severity of the charges and because of her contact with other juveniles due to her employment with DCF.
