Now home and a civilian he and his girlfriend Abreanna Goodrich have created “Support A Troop” app and website that makes sending a care package to deployed troops as easy as pushing a button or two.
“It connects patriots back home through the app to deployed troops to go on the app and create a registry,” Dutkiewicz said. “And with the registry people can go and you don’t need to know anybody that’s deployed.
“You just go on the app send you can send it.”
Many times troops receive packages from home with items they really don’t need. With the app, they can request what they really do want.
“Our mission is to really connect patriots with troops so that patriots can help those deployed service members,” Goodrich said. “And kind of boost their moral to make sure they know they are supported back home.”
Even items for our four-legged heroes, military dogs, are available to send.
“It’s really awesome to see that we are not only helping our service members but we’re also helping the dogs,” Goodrich said.
And even if you don’t know someone deployed overseas you can still find someone to help and you’ll receive a photo and thank you note in return.
“It’s making me very happy. I’m very full of joy,” Dutkiewicz said. “This is definitely the happiest times of my life since I started this. I feel great. And we’re also going to have new features coming out.
“We’re going to find more ways to help them.”
