TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Bay Lightning-New York Islanders playoff rematch will begin Sunday afternoon.
Game 1 of the NHL’s Stanley Cup semifinals matchup will be at 3 p.m. at Amalie Arena.

The Lightning topped the Islanders in six games last season as the league conducted the series without fans in a bubble in Edmonton due to Covid-19.
The winner will advance to the Stanley Cup Final to face the winner of the Las Vegas Knights-Montreal Canadiens series.
The defending Stanley Cup champion Lightning also will be home for Game 2 Tuesday.
The series then shifts to Long Island’s Nassau Coliseum for Games 3-4 Thursday and Saturday.
If there’s no sweep, Game 5 will be Monday, June 21 in Tampa with Game 6 June 23 in Long Island. A Game 7 would be held June 25 in Tampa if needed.
The Lightning are allowing 14,800 fans in Amalie per game and hundreds more outside the arena in Thunder Alley.
