  • Sabatini: “You should have the right to protect yourself without government interference so we don't need a permit if you are law abiding citizen"

“Floridians should be able to exercise their Second Amendment right without a permission slip from the government. Bearing arms is a fundamental constitutional right. If somebody wants to defend themselves the only permission slip needed is the U.S. Constitution,” Sabatini said in a written statement.

Sabatini represents District 32 in Central Florida.

“You should have the right to protect yourself without government interference so we don't need a permit if you are law abiding citizen you should not have to pay money to defend yourself.”

According to the Florida Department of Agriculture which oversees the license program the state of Florida currently leads the nation with more than 2 million concealed weapon license holders.

Currently in order to get that license you must take firearms a training course. Gun store owner Steve Shore currently likes how the guns laws are requiring you to have a license to carry concealed weapon.

“Everyone should have training firearms training and know what the laws are,” said gun store owner Steve Shore.

The legislation was filed this week.
