St. Petersburg leaders was scheduled to hold a virtual public meeting Tuesday night at 6 p.m. to discuss the city's Stormwater Master Plan.

The plan is a way to find solutions to severe weather issues like flooding and rising sea levels.

While there have been a series of workshops, Tuesday's meeting focuses on residents who live in Northeast St. Pete. If you'd like to attend the virtual meeting, click here

The Stormwater Master Plan includes a specialized computer model to evaluate where flooding may occur throughout the city. That model would help the city come up with recommendations and improvements.

Shore Acres homeowner Beth Bastas hopes the plan works to alleviate the flooding she has seen in her neighborhood.

"It would be great to have something done," she said.

Last year, when Tropical Storm Eta made landfall, Bastas had flooding in her garage and her home. It took six months for her to repair the damage. In the meantime, she had to find somewhere else to live.

Now that Bastas is back in the neighborhood, she's concerned about more flooding. She said the issue is forcing her to think about selling her home and moving out of the area.
