LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — There is something magical about growing your own fruits and turning them into a delicious blend of wine. That's something winemaker Harry Stauderman knows very well.
“We started in 2010, so over 10 years now in the wine business," Harry said.
Harry grew up watching generations of his family own and operate farms in the northeast, later going on to graduate from the University of Delaware with a bachelor's degree in agriculture. He then moved to Florida with his wife Karen where they founded Oak Haven Farms.
Growing all types of fruits but specifically strawberries, they became one of the first u-pick farms in Central Florida. It's the customers that have truly made Harry's mission of sustainability and growth in the world of agriculture worth it.
Harry hopes to continue to grow this 20-acre farm over the decades and pass it down to his children in the years to come.
