"With new options and returning favorites, Tropicana Field continues to offer a variety of foods and beverages for all fans to enjoy," said the Rays' public relations team in a press statement released on April 5.
Three existing concessions stands — "Modern Bird," "Pig & Potato," and "Beach Drive" — will all feature new items on their menus.
Modern Bird, which is found on the Budweiser Porch of the field, is adding a Korean-spiced chicken sandwich with gochujang sauce, house slaw and spicy mayo. Also new to their lineup will be a chicken queso dip that includes slow-roasted chicken, jack cheese, tomatoes and scallions served with sea salt tortilla chips.
Another stand on the Budweiser porch is Pig & Potato, and one of their new options includes their "P&P Pierogi," which is a potato pierogi with chorizo butter, sour cream and fried onions. The second dish is a foot-long tater tot loaded with bacon, sour cream and scallions.
And finally, Beach Drive over at the Third Base Food Hall will add a jerk chicken sandwich featuring jerk chicken thighs with pineapple mayo and pickled cabbage slaw. A Caribbean bowl with jerk-seasoned pork, black beans, yellow rice and jalapeño aioli will also be coming to the stand. Another new food option being served is called the "Steel Drum" — a house-smoked turkey leg, seasoned with star anise and jalapeño pineapple honey.
New local partner Impasto will offer Italian-inspired wraps in the First Base Food Hall. More returning partners include Hunger + Thirst (Ballpark & Rec), Pacific Counter, Beans & Barlour, Crabby’s Beachside Bites, Mister Softee, Dippin’ Dots, Kahwa Coffee, Coppertail Brewing Co., Fresh Vine Wine and Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs.
Coca-Cola Refresh Stations are also back at the field, where fans can purchase a reusable cup to fill and refill at any of the stations around the ballpark. Ballpark & Rec will again open two hours before first pitch, offering $5 draft beers until the start of the game, and will again remain open an hour after the game ends. Friday home games will continue to feature $5, 16-oz Budweiser and Bud Light beers at concession stands throughout the ballpark, including the Budweiser Porch.
Fans can reduce wait time and get back to the game sooner by ordering their favorite concessions with the MLB Ballpark app. The app can purchase merchandise and upgrade tickets, and season members can also receive a 20% discount on all food, beverage and merchandise purchases.
The Rays' concessions experience was rated No. 1 among 25 MLB teams participating in a Voice of the Customer survey last season.
