FLORIDA — Walmart Health announced its expansion into Florida with the opening of five new Health centers, according to a release from the Bentonville, Ark. based company.
The new Walmart Health centers will be located in the Jacksonville, Orlando, and Tampa areas, with the locations and opening dates set for:
- April 5, 2022: 7075 Collins Rd. in Jacksonville
- April 7, 2022: 1586 Branan Field Rd. in Middleburg
- April 12, 2022: 904 B Cypress Pkwy. in Poinciana
- April 14, 2022: 3647 South Orlando Dr. in Sanford
- June 7, 2022: 28516 State Rd. 54 in Wesley Chapel
The statement noted that the Health centers will be next to Walmart Supercenters and will provide a range of services including primary care, dental, optical, hearing, labs, X-ray and EKG.
“Two years after the launch of Walmart Health, we continue evolving and growing to make health care even more accessible to the communities we serve,” said Dr. David Carmouche, senior vice president of Omnichannel Care Offerings at Walmart. “With only one primary care doctor per 1,380 Florida residents, these Walmart Health centers will help address the demand for care in three major cities in the Sunshine State, delivering quality."
The Health centers will be open seven days a week with some evening and weekend hours with additional telehealth options on Sundays, according to the release.
