Total voter turnout in the 2018 midterm election was more than 61 percent.
That could mean a busy day at neighborhood polling locations, as there may be a surge of more traditional Election Day voting post-pandemic.
“We usually have a rush first thing in the morning when the site opens, lunchtime and then in the afternoon at 5 o’clock it picks up again,” said Supervisor of Elections Craig Latimer. “So I would urge people pay attention to that. Maybe try the 10 o'clock or 2 o'clock range to get out there and get your vote in."
If you are voting today, there are 10 forms of acceptable ID at the polls, but the easiest and quickest is using your state issued drivers license of Florida ID card.
Polls close at 7 p.m., however anyone in line by then will be allowed to cast a ballot.
Anyone still holding a mail-in ballot has until 7 p.m. tonight to hand deliver it to their counties Supervisor of Elections Office Service Center.
