TAMPA, Fla. — The holidays can be a source of fun, relaxation and a break from routine, but many people still need to get to work on time.
Planning childcare for holiday break weeks from now will prevent panic later.
Tampa Parks and Recreation is once again hosting its Holiday Break Day Camps.
Activities include sports, enrichment, learning activities, group play and field trips. It’s also a budget friendly option that only requires a rec card.
“For parents they need a place for their kids to be where they know their kids can be safe and have enrichment,” explained director Sherisha Hills. “I promise you your kids are going to come home knowing a little bit more than what they left with, that’s why we say we feel like we’re enriching the youth here and not just a place to drop them off.”
Hillsborough County offers a similar program at $38 per week.
There’s a number of options for day camps at a range of different prices.
They include:
- Florida Aquarium
- First Tee Tampa Bay
- Humane Society of Tampa Bay
- MOSI
- YMCA Day Out Camp
- AMAzing Youth Enrichment Camp
- Bricks 4 Kidz (LEGO)
- Glazer Children’s Museum
Many cities and counties have park and rec programs that also offer day camp for the holiday break weeks.
