After receiving a 911 call at about 1:55 a.m., deputies responded to the home on Alan Shepard Avenue where they found four people dead with gunshot wounds.

Investigators have identified the victims as Glenda Terwilliger, 63, Michael Watson, 63, Constance Terwilliger, 35, and Kiara Terwilliger, 15.

Described as an “extremely horrific incident” by Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey, investigators say Gigante broke into the home and shot his daughter, Kiara, and Constance, who he had a previous relationship with, along with two others.

During a press conference Wednesday afternoon, Ivey said two other children were in the home at the time of the incident and had contacted the person who called 911.

“It was video contact through telephone ... the small child told the reportee what had taken place, what they had seen at the house,” Ivey said. “The reportee raced to the scene — came from another one of our local cities, but raced to the scene and called 911 when they arrived here.”

The individual on the video call kept the child on the phone the entire time because they were worried they might still be in danger, he said.

Both of the children were unharmed and are in the process of being reunited with other family members.

The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate details surrounding the deaths.

“Again, a very sad day here in our community," Ivey said. "Four of our community members have been taken from us, and our team is working diligently to get to the bottom of it so that we can find out and get the complete answers for everybody and bring closure to this incident."
