TAMPA, Fla. — Four of the city of Tampa’s six city council races are headed to runoffs.
No candidate reached a majority of the vote in the races for city council districts 1, 2, 3 and 6.

In District 1, Alan Clendenin led the way with 40.3% of the total vote. He will face Sonja Brookins in the runoff.
In District 2, Guido Maniscalco took 47% of the total vote. He will face Robin Lockett in that district's runoff.
Meanwhile, the leading candidates in District 3 were incumbent Lynn Hurtak and challenger (and former state sen.) Hurtak won with 42.5% of the total vote and will face Cruz in the runoff.
In South Tampa’s District 4, incumbent Bill Carlson won against Blake Casper. The final vote was 8,096 to 5,555.
Incumbent Orlando Gudes lost his seat to challenger Gwen Henderson in District 5. The final vote in the majority East Tampa district was 2,600 to 2,525.
In District 6, longtime lawmaker Charlie Miranda won the seat with 49.4 percent of the total vote. Miranda will face Hoyt Prindle in the runoff. District 6 includes West Tampa, Seminole Heights and parts of South Tampa.
Luis Viera didn’t draw an opponent in District 7.
The four undecided races are heading for a runoff election on April 25.
The deadline to register, if you haven't already, is March 27.
And early voting starts on April 17.
