What You Need To Know
- Sherrel Sampson started the company out of a need for more organic hair products
- Moffitt Cancer Center is working in partnership with Canviiy — its products are popular
- The products can also be found at CVS and Walgreens
“What customers love about it the most is that it’s non-greasy, it’s non-runny,” Sampson said.
In a small salon at the Moffitt Cancer Center, Sampson’s products are used daily. Hair stylist Denise Greene says it helps many cancer patients who deal with itchy scalps from harsh treatments like chemotherapy that cause hair loss and a dry scalp.
“It makes it very sore, the scalp is sore, it flakes up, it hurts, and this helps them get through the process a lot easier,” Greene said.
Sampson says she loves to help so many cancer patients.
“I am humbled that we can give relief, that we are able to provide a little bit of happiness during the toughest time when someone is dealing with cancer,” Sampson said.
Sampson says her business is expanding and that the future looks bright. Her products are nationwide and can be found in stores like Walgreens and CVS, and she is now expanding into more than 4400 hospital systems around the country.
