CEDAR KEY, Fla. — If you watched Spectrum Bay News 9’s coverage of Hurricane Idalia, we often showed you a live weather cam in Cedar Key, which saw some of the most intense rain and wind.

The area was one of the areas hit hardest in the state.

At the Faraway Inn in Cedar Key, salt, water, debris and cottages – now unlivable – were left behind.

Spectrum Bay News 9’s Holly Gregory was there Thursday to speak with business owners and residents.
