She was there to get items for an upcoming European vacation with her husband.

When the incident happened on Nov. 30, there was a question about whether she would be able to survive the injuries.

“We’re so thankful we have her,” said Jeff Batchelor, Tara’s husband. “She’s doing good. Her spirits are good.”

Jeff is concerned that two weeks after the hit and run, they still have not been able to find the driver who ran over his wife.

“It’s reckless, and it’s just dehumanizing you know that she wasn’t worth stopping for,” Jeff said. “At some point, you have to recognize what you did and make things right.”

Jeff said some of the cameras in the Walmart parking lot were not working the day Tara was run over.

However, one camera caught a black pickup truck leaving the scene. Jeff is hoping someone will recognize the black truck that the person was allegedly driving.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
