Easterseals School for Limitless Learning broke ground on a sensory playground Tuesday at a new Valrico location.

“Easterseals works to make sure that everything is personalized, individualized and the whole family is part of the child’s program,” said Sue Ventura, President & CEO of Easterseals Florida.

Easterseals is proud to step in to provide much-needed services for children with autism and other disorders.

Alek Cruz, 4, will start kindergarten there in the fall. His mother, Joannie Gonzalez, is excited for her son to start at the school that takes an inclusive approach to early learning. She and her son got a sneak peek at the school and attended the groundbreaking.

“This playground will allow him to learn about colors, about sounds, about emotions, like he being happy, but while he plays,” said Gonzalez, who has found comfort in this curriculum. “A parent wants their kids to be independent in the future, so this gives us a little bit of relief.”

The school will start summer programs before opening in August for the fall semester.
