St. Petersburg, Fla. — The 10th Annual “Night to Shine” was held at the Colosseum in St Petersburg and organized the Central Christian Church. The event is held in more than 50 countries and sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation.
The Night to Shine is a prom for those with special needs. Hundreds came dressed to the 9’s, and participated in several fun events.
Sierra and Cheyenne Robinson have attended this event for years and love to dress up and feel like they are the center of attention. The girls’ chaperone is their uncle, William Curely. “It gives them a chance to unwind and have fun with their friends and family,” he said.
The event brings in hundreds of people with special needs. Kimmie Nash helped to organize this fun event and was choking up while watching so many having a blast.
“We want to make sure that our special needs community and their families know they are loved and worthy and celebrate their differences and abilities,” Nash said.
