TAMPA, Fla. — More alleged victims are coming forward in the case of Alyssa Zinger, who Tampa police say pretended to be a home-schooled student online to prey on children.

On mental health watch, the 22-year-old appeared in court Friday wearing a mental health protective gown.

In December, Zinger was arrested after Tampa police say she used social media to connect with a male victim between the ages of 12 to 15. Since then, additional alleged victims have made similar claims.

Zinger faces multiple charges, including lewd and lascivious molestation, lewd and lascivious battery, possession of child pornography, in-state transmission of child pornography and sexual cyber harassment.

Zinger’s next court appearance is set for Monday, April 8.
