TAMPA, Fla. —  The Tampa Bay Lightning are set to make five selections at the 2024 NHL Draft, taking place Friday and Saturday at Sphere in Las Vegas.

The Lightning’s 2024 draft selections don’t start until the fourth round. The Bolts have a pick in each round from 4, 5 and 6 plus two picks in round 7.

In addition to the upcoming draft, void of early round picks due to deals during and after the Stanley Cup seasons, Tampa Bay must address Capt. Steven Stamkos' pending free agency, which begins July 1.

Meanwhile, San Jose owns the top pick and likely will target Boston University's center Macklin Celebrini.

The Chicago Blackhawks have the No. 2 selection, followed by Anaheim, Columbus and Montreal.

The NHL’s newest market, Utah, stayed put at No. 6. Salt Lake City landed an NHL franchise with the relocation of the Arizona Coyotes.

Round 1 will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 28. Rounds 2-7 will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 29. ESPN and ESPN+ will provide live coverage of Round 1 on Friday in the United States, while NHL Network and ESPN+ will air Rounds 2-7 on Saturday.
