OLDSMAR, Fla. — An exotic bird worth $2,400 is back at an Oldsmar store after being stolen, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
On Saturday, Everything Birds posted a video to their Facebook page of a woman walking up to one of the bird displays.
The video shows a woman grabbing the bird, stuffing it in her purse and leaving the store.
The sheriff's office says the post led to two anonymous citizens contacting the store owners and identified the suspect as 54-year-old Grissel Nistal.
Nistal agreed to return the bird after detectives visited her home.
She was charged with one count of felony grand theft and taken to the Pinellas County Jail.
The owners of Everything Birds say they are thinking of naming the bird "Bandit" in reference to the incident.
