TAMPA, Fla. — A teenager was killed in a shooting just outside of Citrus Park Mall in Tampa Saturday, according to Hillsborough County deputies.
The incident happened outside of a Red Robin restaurant located near the entrance of the mall around 7 p.m.
The teen boy was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
One mall employee said the shooting caused a lot of commotion.
"It's just very scary, you never know what could happen," said FYE store employee Samuel Lozano. "This just happened all of a sudden, and I was just panicking because everything happened so fast."
Deputies said they are still searching for the shooter and are speaking to several witnesses.
