Golisano Children's Hospital is earning some national recognition.

Golisano was ranked among the top 50 children's hospitals in three specialty areas in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Children’s Hospital rankings.

Those include neonatology, nephrology and pediatric and adolescent behavioral health.

It's the second year in a row that those first two divisions have been ranked.

“We are honored that the Nephrology and Neonatology divisions have been recognized again for their excellent work, and that the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry has received credit in the inaugural US News ranking of Pediatric and Adolescent Behavioral Health for their proactive efforts to address the pediatric mental health crisis,” Jill Halterman, physician-in-chief of Golisano Children’s Hospital, said in a statement. “I am proud of the efforts of all our divisions to help every child reach their full potential and serve families throughout our region and beyond.”

Golisano officials say over the past 12 years, the hospital has appeared in the top 50 in eight of the 11 categories in the best children’s hospitals rankings.
