  • Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections says they are checking all 240 polling stations for damage from hurricanes

  • Early voting begins Oct. 21 and ends Nov. 3

  • The county is dealing with the backlog of voter registrations and mail-in ballots after storm

“We have 27 early voting sites around the county, we have lost one of the sites, we lost the West Tampa Library to water intrusion but we’ve already replaced it with the Barksdale Civic Center,” Latimer said.

Right now, they are fully staffed and getting back on track. Officials say they are still assessing all 240 polling sites for possible damage.

“We’re working on the backlog of almost 3,000 registrations from people who registered online prior to the 7th cut off date. We’ve also got registrations that came in the mail,” Latimer said.

Latimer also said that for those who are still displaced by the hurricanes can get a mail-in ballot online, call, or visit a county elections office to get one in person.

He says he is confident voting will go smoothly for early voting that begins Oct. 21 and runs until Nov. 3 and on election day, which is Nov. 5.
