ORLANDO, Fla. — UPDATED INFO: Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer announced a local state of emergency for seven days that will end alcohol sales at midnight and place a curfew inside the Downtown Entertainment District from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m.
This comes after a shooting overnight on Nov. 1 left two people dead and eight others injured.
The Orlando Police Department has charged the 17-year-old suspect, Jaylen Dwayne Edgar, with two counts of first degree murder and six counts of attempted first degree murder.

The shooting occurred around 1 a.m. Friday at Central Avenue and Orange Avenue as people celebrated Halloween downtown.
Officials said the alleged suspect walked by 10 police officers before firing shots.
